warranty against carpet defects. Our four-point warranty
includes a five-year insect resist warranty and a guarantee on the
completed installation when carpet is bought from a Cavalier
Bremworth Warranted Dealer. It also includes
a promise that all our wool carpets are made in accordance
with Environmental Choice standards.
1. Lifetime warranty
against carpet defects
We warrant your Cavalier Bremworth carpet against all
manufacturing defects during its lifetime so long as:-
- The carpet was bought and installed through a Cavalier
Bremworth Warranted Dealer
- The carpet has been properly maintained and used for
residential purposes at all times since its original
installation
In the event that your Cavalier Bremworth carpet is
subsequently found to have manufacturing defects (excluding insect

will bear the costs, including installation costs, of rectifying or
replacing the defective areas.
2. Five year insect resist
warranty
Your Cavalier Bremworth carpet has been treated to deter insect
and moth infestation. Should a problem occur within five
years of purchase, we will repair, replace or treat the affected
area, providing the carpet has been properly maintained and used
for residential purposes.
3. Residential installation
warranty
Cavalier Bremworth sells its carpets through an approved network
of Warranted
Dealers. This means we can extend our warranty on
residential carpets to the completed installation in the event of
any faulty workmanship.
4. Environmental warranty
All Cavalier Bremworth wool carpets carry Environmental Choice NZ
certification, meeting stringent environmental standards in their
manufacture including materials used, energy consumed, water
conserved, waste produced and discharged, and emissions.

Please Note: Shading/Watermarking
All cut pile carpets, particularly plush pile carpets will
develop lighter or darker patches over time. Known as
"shading", "puddling" or "watermarking" it is caused by the
permanent bending of the carpet pile fibres which then reflect the
light differently. In this respect, cut pile carpets are very
comparable to other textiles such as suede and velvet - which also
show light and dark areas and are appreciated for this very
quality. The extent to which shading occurs cannot be
accurately predicted or prevented and is most often related to the
location of use.
Shading does not affect the wear or durability of the carpet and
is not recognised as a manufacturing flaw or defect. It is
very important that you understand this characteristic before you
buy a cut pile carpet.
